Ingredients
- 0.12 teaspoon Salt
- 0.25 cup (8 fl oz), Water
- 1 large White onion
- 1 tsp(s) Ground Black Pepper
- 2 tablespoon Olive oil
- 3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 3 tablespoon Cornstarch
- 40 g Calamansi
- 500 g Frozen Tuna Cubes
Instructions
- Slice the white onion and set aside.
- Thoroughly rinse the frozen tuna cubes under cold water.
- In a mixing bowl, coat the thawed tuna cubes evenly with cornstarch.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add tuna cubes and sear until golden brown on all sides, approximately 3-4 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and sauté until transparent and soft, about 2 minutes.
- Mix water, low sodium soy sauce, ground black pepper, and salt in a bowl.
- Pour the soy sauce mixture into the skillet with onions and bring to a simmer.
- Return the seared tuna cubes to the skillet and cook in the citrus soy sauce until well-coated and heated through, about 3 minutes.
- Squeeze calamansi juice over the tuna and stir to combine.
