Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Spices, ginger, ground
- 230 g Firm Tofu
- 27 g Peppers, jalapeno, raw
- 3 tbsp(s) Coconut Amino
- 300 g Ground Beef
- 35 g Garlic, raw
- 40 g Leeks
- 50 g Red Onion
- 70 g Red
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients: Dice the red onion and leeks, mince the garlic, and finely chop the jalapeño peppers. Set aside.
- Drain the firm tofu and wrap it in a clean kitchen towel. Place a weight on top (like a heavy pan) to press out excess water for about 20 minutes.
- Crumble the pressed tofu into small pieces, mimicking the texture of ground meat.
- In a pan, heat a little oil over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned. This should take about 10 minutes.
- To the same pan, add the diced red onions, leeks, minced garlic, and chopped jalapeño peppers. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, approximately 8 minutes.
- Add the crumbled tofu to the pan along with the coconut amino and ground ginger. Stir well to combine and cook for another 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Serve your Healthyfied Tofu Sisig hot, garnished with additional jalapeño slices or leeks if desired.
