Ingredients
- 0.25 teaspoon Salt
- 0.50 tsp ground, Pepper
- 1.80 kg Thigh fillets
- 15 g Garlic, raw
- 5 g Ginger root - Raw
- 60 g Red Onion
Instructions
- Rinse the thigh fillets under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
- Peel and slice the red onion. Peel and julienne the ginger root. Peel and mince the garlic.
- Season the thigh fillets with salt and ground pepper evenly on both sides.
- In a large pot, sauté the sliced onion, julienned ginger, and minced garlic until they are soft and aromatic, about 5 minutes.
- Add the seasoned thigh fillets to the pot and sear each side for about 3 minutes, allowing them to brown slightly.
- Fill the pot with enough water to cover the chicken, then bring to a boil. Lower the heat and let it simmer until the chicken is fully cooked, about 30 minutes.
- Optional: Add your choice of leafy greens or papaya slices 10 minutes before finishing the cooking to incorporate more nutrients.
