Ingredients
- 0.50 cup chopped , Green cabbage
- 0.50 medium Red onion
- 1 cup strips or slices, Carrots
- 1 large Egg
- 1 large Red bell pepper
- 1 tsp Granulated Garlic
- 14 clove Garlic
- 250 g Bacon honey cured
- 6 cup (8 fl oz), Water
Instructions
- Prepare your vegetables: Slice the carrots, chop the red bell pepper and green cabbage, mince the garlic, and finely chop the red onion.
- In a large pot, bring 6 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the sliced carrots, chopped red bell pepper, and chopped green cabbage to the boiling water. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
- While the vegetables are cooking, cut the bacon into small pieces.
- In a separate pan, cook the bacon pieces over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan used for bacon, sauté the minced garlic and chopped red onion until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- Add the sautéed garlic and onion along with the crispy bacon to the pot of boiling vegetables.
- Stir in the granulated garlic, then crack the egg into the soup. Gently stir the soup to create egg ribbons. Cook for an additional 3 minutes.
- Remove the pot from heat. Allow the soup to sit for a couple of minutes before serving to enhance the flavors.
