Ingredients
- 0.25 cup Tomato sauce
- 1 cup (8 fl oz), Water
- 2 pinch Salt
- 2 tsp ground, Black pepper
- 205 g Potato
- 400 g Beef Tendon
- 50 g Green bell pepper
- 50 g Red bell pepper
- 50 g White onion
- 6 clove , Garlic
Instructions
- Wash the beef tendon thoroughly and cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Peel and mince the garlic.
- Peel and chop the potato, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and white onion into equal sizes to ensure even cooking.
- In a pot, add the beef tendon and water. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 1 hour 30 minutes or until the tendon is tender.
- Remove the tendon from the pot, set aside, and discard the water.
- In the same pot, heat a little oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
- Add the cut vegetables (potato, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and white onion) to the pot and sauté for another 5 minutes.
- Return the beef tendon to the pot and add the tomato sauce, stirring well to combine. Season with black pepper and salt.
- Cover the pot and let the kaldereta simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and the sauce has thickened.
