Banana Blossom In Coconut Milk

Ingredients

  • 15 g Garlic, raw
  • 18 g Red Onion
  • 30 ml Coconut Cream (Uht)
  • 400 g Banana Blossom/ Flower

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: peel and finely mince the garlic, peel and finely chop the red onion, and trim the banana blossom, removing the tough outer layers and slicing the tender parts.
  2. Heat a large pan over medium heat and sauté the garlic and red onion until they are soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the sliced banana blossom to the pan, stir to combine with the garlic and onion, and cook for an additional 10 minutes until the banana blossom has softened.
  4. Pour in the coconut cream, reduce the heat to low, and simmer the mixture gently for 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to slightly thicken.
  5. After simmering, remove the pan from heat and let the dish rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the banana blossom to absorb the flavors fully.
