Ingredients

  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 tsp ground, Pepper
  • 13 g Garlic, raw
  • 190 g Adlai Rice (Job's Tears)
  • 200 g Belly
  • 40 g Red Onion
  • 400 g Amapalaya (Bitter Gourd)

Instructions

  1. Finely dice the Red Onion. Mince the Garlic. Slice the Amapalaya (Bitter Gourd) into thin strips. Cut the Belly into bite-size pieces.
  2. Rinse the Adlai Rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  3. Cook the Adlai Rice according to package instructions until tender, then set aside.
  4. In a pan over medium heat, sauté the Red Onion and Garlic until soft, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the sliced Amapalaya (Bitter Gourd) to the pan and cook until it begins to soften, about 8 minutes.
  6. Season the Belly pieces with Salt and Pepper, then add to the pan. Cook until the meat is browned and fully cooked, around 10 minutes.
  7. Combine the cooked meat and vegetables with the Adlai Rice. Stir everything together until well combined. Adjust seasoning with Salt and Pepper, if necessary.
